Hulu, plus Live TV or not, has a wide range of supported devices. Third-party DVR device or service, another way to free Hulu Live or on-demand video You can choose to upgrade the storage to 200 hours by paying a $9.99 monthly fee for Enhanced Cloud DVR Add-on, with which you can also enjoy extra ability to fast forward through recording ads. Once it reaches the full capacity, new recording will replace the older according to the time order. But the default free storage is only 50-hour. So you don’t have to worry about missing what you love for various reasons, just add the right name(s) to “My Stuff” to record. Hulu gives its Live TV subscribers a Cloud DVR service to record any TV shows, movies, and other live events for playback. Hulu’s Cloud DVR, the default and also your first choice for Hulu Live recording – Also for those non-live video-on-demand videos, once your subscription goes to an end, you can’t access and play those you haven’t finished any more. – Sometimes when you go for a travel or holiday, you want to pass time with Hulu TVs on the airplane or other wireless places, and at this time, you need to record them in advance for offline playback. – Live TV streaming only lives for once, and for some contents you want to view more than one time or you don’t have time to sit in front of the monitor to watch, you need to do recording. As a mix of video-on-demand and live service, it not only offers people thousands of (original) TV shows and movies to pick for playback at will, but also has over 60 Live TV channels to synchronize TVs, sports and news events. I also find that it would be extremely helpful for the people who do a lot of watching on the Internet, such as myself.Recording Hulu (Live) TV is not hard and there is more than one way…Īlthough Netflix stands tall, Hulu app is still worth a shot. I find this feature very useful, especially since Hulu is one of my favorite television shows to watch. Currently, they show a notification right away, but if you're a Hulu user, you may not always remember when the next episode is coming out. One thing I would like to see more of in future versions of Hulu Desktop is a way for the users themselves to get notified whenever new episodes or full seasons of their favorite shows become available. It's nice that Hulu offers this neat functionality, because it eliminates a lot of wasted space when watching a Hulu video. This functionality is similar to what I've seen in many online television client demos, where you have to close out one application in order to get into another. For example, when I am watching a Hulu video, I can go to my Windows 7 program menu and select "My Computer", and my desktop will automatically go into full screen mode. I love being able to use both Hulu's interface as well as my Windows 7 computer side of things at the same time without having to switch between the two. In general, using Hulu Desktop while in Windows 7 is a very smooth and simple experience. I would imagine that Windows Media Center support will come in the future as it becomes an official part of the platform itself. I've been able to test this out on my Windows Vista machine, which should be similar to the official experience on the other OSs. The only glitch with this is that there are currently no official support from Hulu or Microsoft for this functionality. When clicked on, this will start playing the Hulu videos on your computer screen, via Windows Media Center. While clicking on H ULU in Windows 7, the program automatically opens Windows Media Center, then launches H Hulu Desktop maximized in full mode. Now that websites like Hulu have grown into a viable alternative for free television, Hulu desktop integration seems only natural.
